So I’ve been playing with the video feature of my Canon 7D and let’s just say I’ve got a lot to learn. But I was burning my unlimited metrocard around the city yesterday and ran into this sand artist in Union Square. His persicion with the sand was great and the photo turned out beautiful, even on the slight windy day. Check out the very novice video I made and the photos I took below.

This is a great video by Sam O’Hare featuring over 35,000 photographs using tilt-shift photography. It was shot during a week in August in New York City. This was really well done and I plan on at least make a tilt-shift photo very soon.

Who Shot Rock and Roll Book Review

Posted in Cool Photography, books, photography on February 1st, 2010 by jayev3ryday

This past Sunday was the last day of the Who Shot Rock & Roll photography exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum. My friend Erika and I went in the early afternoon to catch it. We’ve been trying to see it for sometime now and it definitely didn’t disappoint. As we walked through the exhibit, I literally got butterflies in my stomach from looking at these great photos of music artists being captured in different elements. Each photo had a different feeling and a great story. The book put together by Gail Buckland it has all of the photos exhibited and more, along with more details behind the shot. A certain conversational piece and definitely something I needed in my life to keep me motivated. You can also buy this book for about $40 at Barnes and Nobles and Amazon.
