Nike joined forces with Jay Z to create these uber-exclusive All Black Everything Nike Air Force Ones. From the looks of it, it contains standard black leather with black safari print on the sides. The tongue tag has HOV under the Nike Swoosh and the in sole has custom graphics on it. Looks smooth. They will be auctioned off on behalf of the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation and Ebay to raise money to provide financial assistance for individuals to attend learning institutions. Only two pairs of each of the five designs will be created, one for the winning bidder and one for the man behind the design, JAY-Z. The charity auction begins on August 12, at 9:00 a.m. EDT and ends on August 22, at 9:00 a.m. EDT.

In addition to these sneakers, Jay Z will take the Radio City Music Hall stage to perform a one of a kind concert to initiate the inaugural 2010 World Basketball Festival. The performance will be streaming live on http://www.facebook.com/wbf at 6:30pm. This is going to be a good one. [via]

Tuesday night at the Nike Sportswear store down on 21 Mercer, Mr. Cartoon with the help of photographer Jonathan Mannion came out to talk with the event goers about things which I honestly didn’t get to hear. (sorry, real packed and I was in the back) Mr. Cartoon collabo’d with Nike to put his tatoo flavor on some Nike Blazers. Free tacos, burritos and drinks all night, definitely a great night overall. February 14th is Valentine’s day as we all know and love but it is also the start of a new year…The Chinese New Year. This year they will celebrate the Year of the Tiger. Nike Sportswear created this beast of a sneaker which features a white nylon upper, Stark Laces,  a golden silk-screened tiger stripe pattern along with horsehair added to the back to make the show jump at you. It is also cased in a special box These will drop on February 10th and limited to only 200 pairs with the special box edition coming out on the 13th only in Asia. There are really nice. [VIA]
